    Three months Pregnant

Here is the first picture of my baby... You can't see much but, hey, it's a little little thing.
The doctors say everything is going well and it's developing normally, that's all I can ask for.
The picture on the left shows the head. The picture on the right shows the head and the body (baby's turning its back though).
    Voila...

    hello again!

    My friends,
At last I have posted new pictures for the pleasure of your eyes. These are from the national May holiday (nearly 2 weeks! wow!). There are 2 different places, on being Chao Hu, or Giant Lake, and the other being a little town San He (Three Rivers). Enjoy China!
Apart from that everything is going well...
    Adios amigos!
De nouvelles photos pour vous, prises pendant les vacances de May. Deux endroits differents: Chao Hu (Lac Geant) et la ville de San He (Les Trois Rivieres). Jete un coup d'oeuil.
    Bisous.

    China and the Rude People

We all have experienced abuse in some way or another...
Man, I've always been a fat kid and I had my share of verbal abuse in my childhood.
At some point you'd think that people change and that they learn that calling other people "fat pig" is bad...
But not in China. In China, people, kids and adults alike, seem to think that every occasion they get to insult and hurt people should be seized.
My self-esteem was never really high but sometimes I feel that China lowers it even more. And that makes me think "What the hell am I doing here?!".
One could be led to believe that the Chinese are perfect... They have such a state of mind that they judge people on their appearance rather than on their personal qualities. To this, one could also say "well, they don't know you so...". But I don't know, I thought, you know, that parents are supposed to tell their children that it's bad to make fun of other people... not in China apparently... Sometimes, the parents actually start it...
Anyway, this is going nowhere... I am just moaning I guess... I've just had enough and today is a bad Chinese day... Feeling bad about myself... It sometimes happens after I've had a very good time... Coming back down to Earth, sometimes the shock is hard.
But don't worry about me, I'll be alright. I am not that weak, I won't let the bastards grind me down, as Bono would say (cf http://www.macphisto.net/u2lyrics/Acrobat.html

Beijing and the Fab Wall of China (as Charlotte called it)

    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah... Beijing was wonderful!
I mean, it's like every big city, there are some good things and some bad things about it. But on the whole, I really enjoyed my THREE (only) days there. I always wanted to see the Great Wall. I was so excited I dropped a tear on the bus.
I absolutely loved the place where Shameema and I stayed. It was perfect, I will definately go back there.
And yes, I have to go back. I didn't get the chance to visit the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace... so I must go back... Three days was a bit short, but they were really fantastic!
On the last day, we got our train tickets stolen but we were lucky enough to be able to buy new ones. That was the only black mark, so it's not that bad.

So many things I want to do and so little time!!!!

    17 May

    zoozoo

More pictures for your pleasure... we went to the zoo on the 9th of May but you won't see many pictures of animals... we all have seen millions of pictures of animals... zoos are all the same... so I only took some unusual ones or others that I really liked, like the white peacocks, the lions/tigers/bears and the red pandas because they are sooooooooo cute.
You will see some samples of Hefei's architecture and landscape in town and in the zoo.
    Enjoy... hmm...
PS: I am going to Bejing next week!!!!! oooooooooo excitement...

    15 February

    aaaaaaaaaah

Today was a good day... I had my last I.V. drips and even though I was still feeling poo-ey at first I ended having a nice evening...
We went for dinner with HouHui and his girlfriend and then we went skating and bowling... Well, of course, I didn't skate or bowl because I can't skate and I couldn't play bowl because of my poo-ey I.V. hands. But still, I enjoyed myself and I feel good.

    Poorly in China

I have been ill for a few days now... quite the worse cold I have had in 8 years at least. It started with sore tonsils... then I lost my voice... but it wasn't too bad, just a bit annoying that's all. And then it moved to the nose and bronchi... and now finally my ears...
I have been to the doctor's a few days ago, before the earache started, but the treatment didn't work. So today, I went to the doctor's again and here we go... i.v... I have to go back tomorrow and the next day... lost of fun...
Ah well, if I am better soon then it will be good.

    Alan Rickman and Jim Dale

You see, I have always refused to read Harry Potter. As the good hypocrit that I am though, I did watch (and enjoy) the Harry Potter films. And recently, even more shameful, I have been listening to the Harry Potter audio books read by Jim Dale. So now that I come to think of it, the best think for me about Harry Potter is that it features Alan Rickman and Jim Dale. Alan Rickman is soooooooooooo great as the nasty wizard and Jim Dale (who does all the voices on the Harry Potter audio books) is a brrrrrrrrilliant!
Having worked in a bookshop, I hate JK Rowling but well... actually... hmm... I quite like Harry Potter (especially when Jim Dale reads it for me).

    Esmeralda

I have had a shitty week...
Being moody and hyper-sensitive are one of the Joys of Being Female.
This page stinks and if it weren't for the pictures, there is nothing interesting on it.
I have been feeling a bit down lately but I think that's it's mainly due to the Joys of Being Female and I still like being in China. I have only one wish now and that is to start learning Chinese seriously. I have to work on a solution, start looking for a teacher.
Anyway, here is Esmeralda. Esmeralda(s) is strong is a space pirate.

    People are strange

Yes, people are strange... but fortunately The Flaming Lips are here! (and shrimp flakes too)
    http://www.flaminglips.com
Go to the page and listen to some of The Flaming Lips songs in the Audio section... I recommend listening to my favourite albums: The Soft Bulletin (Race for The Price, Waiting For A Superman, Feeling Yourself Disintegrate...) and Clouds Taste Metallic (especially Bad Days, Brainville, and Lightning Strikes The Postman). (Ok, he can't sing and his voice is not very nice... so what!?)
